    • Comparison on mechanical properties of full-scale flexible composite pipes with different structural types

    • In the field of oil and gas field development, adhesive flexible composite pipes have attracted much attention due to their advantages such as stable structure and strong gas permeability resistance. Experts compared and analyzed the performance of polyester fiber reinforced non bonded composite pipes, polyester tape reinforced bonded composite pipes, and fiberglass tape reinforced bonded composite pipes, and established a separated finite element model to simulate their mechanical properties under internal pressure load. The results indicate that glass fiber reinforced adhesive composite pipes are more suitable for service in fluid desert environments.
