    • Impacts of core-shell rubber particles on toughness of casting PMMA resin and its composites

    • The research progress in the field of toughness improvement of perfusion type PMMA resin was introduced. Experts prepared three-layer core shell rubber particles by three-stage lotion polymerization as toughening agent. Three CSR particles with different particle sizes were prepared by adding different amounts of emulsifiers, and added them to perfusion type PMMA resin. Resin castings and carbon fiber composites were prepared respectively for mechanical property testing. The specimen cross-section was characterized by scanning electron microscope. The effects of the addition amount and particle size of CSR particles on the toughness of perfusion type PMMA resin and carbon fiber composites were studied, providing a new direction for the development of perfusion type PMMA resin and its thermoplastic composites for ships.
